Meet the happiest version of yourself

Meet the happiest version of yourself

We all know these days where nothing feels right. Our minds are foggy and our thoughts are sluggish. It is frustrating, demotivating, and leaves us feeling helpless.

We all experience these days and we can’t avoid them. But good news is, there are plenty of things that can help you recharge your mental batteries. You will only need 10 minutes to help your mind become clearer and your thoughts flowing easily.

1. PUT YOUR HAPPY FACE ON

It may sound weird but smiling is the fastest way to release endorphins. And they are known for literally make you more happy, reduce stress and anxiety. Research says even if you don’t feel it and have to fake it first, the smile will become genuine.

You might still be skeptical, but you really can fool your brain into thinking you are happy, and it will start to release your very own feel-good hormones. Give it a try and smile for a few minutes and let us know how you feel.

2. TAKE A DEEP BREATH

If you don’t feel like smiling, no worries. There is another amazing option to try. Breathing exercises – and there are a lot you can go with – help you focus on your breath and clear your mind.

If you’re feeling stressed, you might wanna try the physiological sigh. Just take two deep inhales through the nose (no exhale in between) followed by a full and long exhale through the mouth to lungs empty. Repeat it three times and you will feel a lot more calm.

Box Breathing is another amazing technique to calm down and relax your mind and body. To improve your mood even a bit more, step outside for a few minutes and maybe sit on a park bench and breathe with your eyes closed.

Keep practicing for a few minutes and see how you feel.

3. FOCUS ON THE GOOD

On some days negative thinking seems like the easiest thing to do. Have you ever heard about the gratitude journal? The bottom line is: When you focus on the good, you are happier and less stressed.

4. GET NOSTALGIC

If you are experiencing one of your down days, set some time just for yourself and try to focus on a happy memory. Scientists attested that just thinking of something that once made you happy will make you feel better instantly.

Give it a try and combine it with something you are looking forward to. What is something that you are looking forward to happening in the near future? It will make you feel better in no time.

5. SHAKE IT OFF

Nothing’s more comfortable than your favourite underwear. Spending less time in clothes improves your self-esteem. Your overall body image and life satisfaction will get better.

And now that you’re comfortable: Turn up the music and just shake it off. You don’t need to do a full workout. A 10min dance is the more fun way to boost your endorphin levels.
